Why does a rescue cost more than $49?
+
Because most real outages aren’t one button. They’re plugin + theme + PHP + hosting + cache + DNS (or a broken checkout). Cheap tickets usually budget minutes. We budget investigation, backups, safe changes, and a clear quote before major work.
Isn’t a free diagnosis better?
+
Free “diagnostics” are often sales screens. We charge $175 so the work is real: find what’s broken, what changed, and what it takes to fix — then credit that toward the repair if you move forward.
When should I use a cheap fix instead?
+
When you can describe the task in one sentence and the site is otherwise healthy — change this text, install this plugin, adjust this form. When visitors can’t reach the site, checkout fails, or nobody knows what broke, that’s rescue territory.
Is the diagnostic free?
+
No. The $175 rescue diagnostic is paid upfront. It is credited in full toward the repair if you proceed with us. It is not refundable — you are paying for real investigation and a written fix quote, not a sales pitch.
Why don't you offer free quotes?
+
Because guessing costs you more when the guess is wrong. A paid diagnostic means I actually investigate before quoting — you get accuracy, not a number I pulled from thin air.
How fast can you fix my site?
+
Depends on severity. Diagnostic first, then a realistic timeline in writing. We are not the fastest fix on the internet — we are the accurate one.
Are you available 24/7?
+
Automated monitoring can run 24/7 on the Care + Monitoring tier. Human rescue work is business hours for new clients. Active care clients get priority. We are not an on-call 24/7 dispatch line.
Do maintenance clients get priority?
+
Yes. Active care plan clients jump ahead of new leads browsing the website.
Do I have to host with you?
+
No. Rescue can start on the hosting you have today, although limited access may make work best-effort or prevent us from completing some tasks. Care requires approved cloud/VPS hosting — either your own or our included managed hosting. If you bring your own host, we must receive sufficient server, staging, backup, DNS, and security access to perform the plan. Tasks we cannot access cannot be performed until access is granted or the site is moved.
What if my site is on shared hosting?
+
Shared, cheap, and low-resource hosting blocks real rescue work — we usually lack SSH, staging, resource control, reliable backups, and deep malware access. We may triage from WordPress alone; that is not a full fix. A lasting recovery and any Care plan require migrating to approved cloud. Refuse the migrate and we may decline further work: we do not have the access we need.
Why won’t you maintain my site on shared or cheap hosting?
+
Because we cannot control the server. Neighbor sites steal CPU, inode and RAM caps trip silently, staging and proper cache are missing, host support can undo our work, and security cleanup stops at the panel door. Paying for Care on that stack is theater. Approved cloud only — yours or ours.
Do I get a Care discount if I already pay for hosting?
+
No. The Care fee is the same whether you keep an approved host or use hosting we provision. Our managed hosting is included in the Care plan price with no separate hosting charge. If you bring your own host, you continue paying that provider and must give us sufficient access to perform the plan. Shared, cheap, or restricted hosting is not eligible.
What plugins are included?
+
Premium plugins we hold lifetime licenses for, when we manage the stack. Other premium plugins are client-owned or quoted separately.
Is WooCommerce included in care plans?
+
Light checkout smoke-testing only on Care Professional for simple existing stores. Full store management requires Commerce Systems Management (from $499/mo).
Do you guarantee more sales?
+
No. Never. Care and commerce plans keep your site or store technically sound — we do not guarantee revenue, conversions, or rankings.
What's the difference between Care and Commerce?
+
Care maintains WordPress business sites. Commerce Systems Management is for stores — payment flows, marketplace feeds, integrations, and technical store operations. Different specialist, different price.
How do you handle my passwords and logins?
+
Prefer temporary admin or hosting users created for the job. I do not ask you to paste passwords into shared spreadsheets or random forms. When it is time to share a login, use a free self-destructing link from
Password Pusher (recommended) or
One-Time Secret — not the contact form. When the work wraps, you revoke temporary access. Ongoing access only applies if you are on a care plan that requires it.
Are you remote? What are your hours?
+
Remote-only and async. Human replies and rescue work run Monday–Friday during Eastern Time business hours. Same-day priority is for active care clients when possible — new inquiries typically get a first reply in 1–2 business days. No phone support. No Zoom screenshares.
Do you offer phone or Zoom support?
+
No. We do not provide phone support, Zoom meetings, screenshares, or live walkthroughs. Rescue is written intake + secure access + hands-on work in your hosting/WordPress stack, with findings delivered in writing. Calls burn diagnostic time, push insecure credential sharing, and delay real fixes. Use the intake form — not a calendar link.
