COM-6 · STORE OPERATIONS

Commerce Systems Management

Commerce Systems Management is store operations for WooCommerce — checkout, feeds, payments, and technical reliability — not a WordPress Care plan for server maintenance. When checkout fails, feeds desync, or payments flake after an update, you need store infrastructure help, not another marketing retainer.

HONEST FIT

Built for Real Stores — Not Marketing Retainers

If you need checkout and infrastructure to stay up, you're in the right place. If you need ads and merchandising, we're not.

Who this is for

  • WooCommerce store owners who need checkout, cart, and payment flows reliable
  • Shops with marketplace or product feeds (XML, CSV, API) that break after updates
  • Operators who want staging-tested store updates, backups, and technical health reports
  • Teams that already have merchandising/ads covered and need a technical specialist

Who this is not for

  • Businesses looking for sales growth, CRO, or conversion guarantees
  • Merchandising, catalog pricing strategy, or unlimited product uploads
  • Amazon/eBay/Etsy account policy disputes or merchant bank chargebacks
  • Brochure WordPress sites without a real store — those belong on a Care plan

TECHNICAL SCOPE

What We Manage

Store infrastructure and operations — not server Care, not vanity metrics.

  • Checkout & payments

Cart, checkout, and gateway plugins tested after updates.

  • Feeds & sync

Marketplace/product feed troubleshooting when sync errors stop sales.

  • Performance

Store speed, database queries, and caching tuned for commerce load.

  • Security & updates

Hardening plus staging-tested WooCommerce core and extension updates. We start with clean stores and protect them.

MONTHLY TASKS

2–4 Store Technical Tasks (≤60 min each)

Each month includes 2–4 store technical tasks, clearly scoped and capped at about 60 minutes each. Tickets that need deeper discovery, multi-hour builds, or catalog/content work are hourly overflow or a separately quoted project.

What counts

  • Scoped plugin or config fixes that restore a store flow (cart, checkout, tax/shipping display when technical)
  • Marketplace or product feed troubleshooting (XML, CSV, API sync errors)
  • Payment gateway plugin settings and connection checks (Stripe, PayPal, Square, and similar)
  • Staging-tested update for a named WooCommerce core or extension release
  • Investigating a specific cart or checkout error with a clear reproduce path
  • Inventory sync error diagnosis on the technical side
  • Small technical SEO infrastructure fixes (schema, sitemap, crawl errors — not content or rankings)

What does not count

  • Writing or editing product titles, descriptions, images, or category copy
  • Catalog merchandising, pricing strategy, or bulk product uploads
  • Ad spend, Shopping campaigns, CRO, or content SEO
  • Marketplace account policy disputes or merchant bank chargebacks
  • Redesigns, new feature builds, or multi-hour development
  • Open-ended “fix the store” requests without a scoped ticket

WHO DOES WHAT

Your Store Content vs Our Technical Work

You own catalog content and merchandising. We own the technical systems that keep the store running.

Area You Website Rescue
Product titles, descriptions, images, pricing, categories You own all catalog content and merchandising decisions We do not create or maintain product content
Catalog uploads / listing volume Your team handles uploads (or we quote separately) Unlimited product uploads are excluded from the plan
Checkout, cart, payment plugins, technical reliability You approve business rules you own (tax, shipping, gateway accounts) We maintain and test the technical stack after updates
Feeds / marketplace sync You own marketplace accounts and their policies We troubleshoot technical sync failures
Ads, CRO, content SEO Your marketing team owns strategy and creative Out of scope — technical SEO infrastructure only
Hosting, SSL, backups Store must run on our managed stack when hosting is required (see hosting note) We operate backups, SSL, and staging on that stack

DON'T MIX THESE UP

Care Plans vs Commerce Systems

Care is hosting and site care for the server. Commerce is store management for the shop.

WordPress Care

Hosting and site care for the server/CMS — updates, backups, monitoring. From $169/mo. Light checkout smoke-test only on higher tiers. Not store operations management.

Commerce Systems

Store management for the shop — checkout, feeds, payments, store performance. From $499/mo. Separate specialist scope; not a Care plan substitute.

Not sure which you need? Browse Care plans or start a commerce diagnostic and we'll tell you honestly.

HOSTING

Managed Stack Required When Hosting Is the Problem

Commerce Systems is store management — but the store still needs hosting we can operate.

If hosting becomes the blocker, you host with us.

Commerce Systems assumes a managed cloud environment we can operate — reliable backups, staging, recovery access, and hosting-level troubleshooting. Shared or locked hosts that block that access are not a fit. When hosting is the problem, continuing on this plan requires hosting with us on an approved managed stack we operate (Rocket.net, GridPane, or Cloudways — in that preference order).

We start with clean stores and harden them. If something goes wrong under management, we prioritize restore from a known-good backup; work beyond a restore is separately scoped — not a marketed malware-cleanup benefit.

COMMERCE FAQ

Commerce Systems Questions

Is Commerce Systems the same as a Care plan? +
No. Care is WordPress site and hosting care for business sites. Commerce Systems is store operations for WooCommerce — checkout, payments, feeds, and technical store reliability. Different specialist, different scope, different price.
Do you guarantee more sales or conversions? +
No. Never. Commerce Systems keeps the store technically sound. We do not guarantee revenue, conversions, rankings, or ad performance.
What does the commerce diagnostic cost? +
The commerce diagnostic is paid upfront (from $225 depending on store complexity). It is credited toward the first month if you proceed with a Commerce Systems plan.
What counts as a monthly store technical task? +
Scoped fixes that restore a store flow, feed troubleshooting, payment gateway checks, staging-tested updates, and similar tickets capped at about 60 minutes each. Catalog content, merchandising, ads, and multi-hour builds do not count toward the monthly allotment.
Do I have to host with you for Commerce Systems? +
When hosting is part of the problem or we cannot operate backups, staging, and SSL reliably on your current stack, the store must run on our managed stack. Commerce is store management — the shop still needs hosting we can operate.
My site is broken right now. Should I buy Commerce first? +
Start with emergency website repair if the store or site is actively failing. Stabilize first, then enroll in Commerce Systems for ongoing store operations — or Care if you have a brochure site without a real shop.
